Janis Glover Biography

Jan Glover
Jan Glover is the Education Services Librarian at the Cushing/Whitney Medical Library, Yale School of Medicine. One of her rapidly growing roles at the library is as a member of systematic review teams and/or as consultant to systematic review teams as they conduct their comprehensive searches. This led to the development of the ‘Supporting Systematic Reviews’ workshops that both she and her co-developer, Karen Odato, Education and Research Librarian, Dartmouth Biomedical Libraries, have been presenting around the country since 2010. Jan has a keen interest in teaching evidence-based practice principles and techniques to students and faculty through course-integrated instruction, workshops, and one-on-one sessions. She teaches many of the citation management and searching/finding techniques sessions for the medical students, physician associate students and residents.  Working with five other medical librarians from Duke, Yale, and Dartmouth, Jan co-developed the very successful three-day ‘Supporting Clinical Care: An Institute in Evidence-Based Practice for Medical Librarians’, now in its sixth year.
