Join the ACRL Instruction Section’s Inclusive Pedagogy Committee for a lightning talk about how folks have been addressing the barriers they’ve encountered in their own practice of inclusive pedagogies. The event, titled “Navigating Barriers to Inclusive Pedagogy”, will take place on Wednesday, April 16, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM CDT. In this webinar, we will share strategies for dealing with barriers to inclusive pedagogies. By sharing these practices, we aim to cultivate and support a community of educators committed to inclusion and equity.
Presentations will include Elizabeth Kamper of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville on “Using Educational and Political Theory to Inform Your Activist Pedagogy”, Nandi Prince of New York City College of Technology on “Student-Centered Approaches that are Responsive and Affirming of Diverse Learners”, and Shari Lynn Robinson, Sole Proprietor, The Traveling Diversity Professor, on “Unveiling Radical Rest and Resistance When Joy is No Longer an Option”.
