We are excited to announce this year’s New England Science Boot Camp for Librarians will be held from Wednesday, June 25, to Friday, June 27, at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. Science Boot Camp is a fun and affordable 2 ½ day immersion into science topics offering opportunities for library workers and library students interested in science, health sciences, and technology to learn, meet and network in a fun, laid-back atmosphere.
The topics for this year’s SBC science sessions are:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Astronomy
- Health Sciences
Each science session will include one scientist presenting an overview of the field, and a second scientist discussing research applications within the field. This year’s Capstone will feature AI in science librarianship.
Registration for Science Boot Camp will open on Wednesday, April 23. Please check here for more information as it becomes available. For any questions, please contact Cate Harriman (charriman@blc.org).
