Calling all librarians and library staff with an interest in marketing!
Inspired by ACRL? Didn’t get to go and want to share your project related to marketing and outreach? ACRL’s Library Marketing and Outreach Interest group (LMOIG) is hosting an inaugural Chicago area meetup for librarians interested in forming a community and discussing ideas related to library marketing, events, promotion, and outreach. The event will be Thursday, May 30th from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at DePaul University Library in Chicago, happy hour to follow. Participants do NOT need to be members of the interest group or ACRL to attend or present at the event. RSVP now to attend the event or express interest in future events.
We are now accepting proposals for lightning talks related to the topics:
- Marketing/Outreach plans
- Events and programming
- Marketing materials
Lightning talks are 10-15 minute presentations that introduce the audience to a topic or project and are a great way to present in an informal setting.
To apply, please submit the following information:
- Your name, title, and institution
- Which topic your presentation relates to
- A short description of the presentation (300 words or less)
