The History of Medicine Division of the US National Library of Medicine (NLM) reminds individuals interested in researching the history of surgery, cardiac care, medical education, health care policy, and the wide variety of other fields with which Michael E. DeBakey was associated during his 75-year career, to apply for the Michael E. DeBakey Fellowship in the History of Medicine for 2018 by Saturday, September 30, 2017.
As noted in a previous announcement, this Fellowship provides up to $10,000 to help offset the costs associated with visiting NLM to conduct research in the Michael E. DeBakey archives and related collections, studying the vast range of subjects which informed, or were informed by, Michael E. DeBakey’s professional career. Applications are invited from anyone over the age of eighteen, of any academic discipline and status. Non-U.S.-citizens may apply.
To apply for the NLM Michael E. DeBakey Fellowship in the History of Medicine, please review the fellowship announcement carefully and then visit this online application portal, which is maintained by the Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences (FAES) in cooperation with the NLM.
