NNLM GMR Members can apply now for funding support of health information outreach, professional development, and research.
The Greater Midwest Region office of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NNLM) offers funding to support the NNLM mission:
To advance the progress of medicine and improve the public health by providing all U.S. health professionals with equal access to biomedical information; and improving the public’s access to information to enable them to make informed decisions about their health. The Program is coordinated by the National Library of Medicine and carried out through a nationwide network of health science libraries and information centers.
Professional Development Award
Up to $2,500
The purpose of this award is to assist individuals working in GMR Network member organizations to enhance their ability to use NLM resources or keep current on topics related to NIH initiatives.
Research Data Award
Up to $20,000
The purpose of the Research Data Award is to support projects that demonstrate innovation in biomedical data management or support research data services.
Health Information Outreach Award
Up to $50,000
The purpose of the Health Information Outreach Award is to fund education and outreach projects that improve access to biomedical and health information and increase the ability of the public and health professionals to use these resources.
