The 2018 Instruction Section Program Planning Committee is planning the annual program. This year’s program will be offered online in May/June (date pending based on presenter availability) instead of at conference. The program will focus on discussing curriculum mapping. Curriculum mapping is a systematic approach in which a review curriculum and identification of areas where information literacy instruction would have a high impact is conducted. More information is available here (see Part B).
We are seeking a few knowledgeable panel presenters to discuss the array of components that make up curriculum mapping. These include the following topics.
- process for project managing and implementing mapping,
- strategies for building the curriculum maps,
- assessment plans for mapping related to student learning,
- demonstrating value to the campus community from data collected
If you’d like to be considered to present on one of these aspects of curriculum mapping mentioned above please let Sheila Stoeckel (sheila.stoeckel@wisc.edu) know by Thursday, November 30. In your e-mail message to her, please include presenter name(s), presenter’s institution, and an abstract of what will be discussed (250 words or less)
