(on behalf of the HSLI Conference Planning Committee)
Have something you want to share? By popular demand, lightning talks are back for the Health Science Librarians of Illinois (HSLI) 2019 Annual Conference, which will take place from Wednesday, September 11, to Friday, September 13, at the I Hotel and Conference Center in Champaign, IL. The afternoon of Thursday, September 12, has been set aside for sharing experiences, best practices, or how lemonade was made out of lemons! Each presenter will be allotted 5-10 minutes, depending on the number of abstracts that are accepted. There will be ample time afterwards for Q&A and lively discussion.
Lightning talks are guaranteed to spark creative ideas that we can all borrow and adapt to our own libraries. Please consider sharing your expertise or story. To apply, submit an abstract of no more than 200 words to Charlotte Beyer (charlotte.beyer@rosalindfranklin.edu) by Friday, July 26. Notification of acceptance will be sent by Monday, August 5, after the Lightning Talk Subcommittee reviews the submissions. Co-authored presentations are acceptable, though there should be no more than two presenting authors. The presenting author(s) must register for, and plan on attending, the Conference.
More information about the Conference is available at http://hsli.org/conference/. Watch for upcoming announcements on Conference and hotel registration, among other topics.
