The Kennesaw State University Library System would like to invite librarians and library staff members of academic institutions who consider themselves as “middle managers” to participate in a study examining the effects of “middleness”. Middle managers might experience degrees of middleness–that is, the point along the continuum of middle power someone with supervisory responsibilities falls in their organization–and as a result often must use vertical code-switching to interact with those above and below in the organizational structure. Academic library middle managers who supervise at least one, non-student employee and are over the age of 18 and residing in the US or Canada are encouraged to participate.
