My name is Katelyn Quirin Manwiller, and I am a librarian at DeSales University. I’m working with a team of library researchers, Samantha Peter from University of Wyoming, Heather Crozier from Ohio Northern University, and Amelia Anderson from Old Dominion University. We are writing to invite you to participate in a research study about academic librarians and archivists with hidden or invisible disabilities. If you are an academic LIS professional who identifies as having an invisible illness and/or disability, you might be eligible for this study.
The goal of this study is to better understand the experience of academic LIS professionals working with invisible illness(es) and/or disability in order to examine the accessibility of the profession. If you decide to participate in this study, you will complete an online survey about your work experiences. We anticipate that this will take no longer than 30 minutes of your time.
This is completely voluntary. You can choose to be in the study or not, and you can stop taking the survey at any time. If you’d like to participate or have any questions about the study, please contact me, at katelyn.manwiller@desales.edu.
Follow this link to access the survey. The deadline to complete it is Friday, May 15.
