(via Nancy Bolt–Chair, IFLA Retired Members Round Table)
The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) is looking at how the needs of people with disabilities are being met in the context of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We are pleased that UN DESA thought to ask IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) how libraries might contribute through their service to people with disabilities. Time is short, and it is important that we have some data to share with the UN by the end of June. We want the UN to know how much libraries are able to help people with disabilities meet their information and cultural needs.
You can help by completing the “Survey on Library Support for People with Disabilities” here. The deadline is Monday, June 20.
