The Librarian Parlor, aka @LibParlor, is a space for conversing, sharing expertise, and asking questions about the process of developing, pursuing, and publishing library research. Thanks to funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, we are building LibParlor Online Learning, an openly accessible and interactive online curriculum for academic library workers and MLIS students who have experience with or interest in conducting research. In order to inform this work, we are conducting a study through a survey and focus groups to learn about the experiences, educational needs, and institutional constraints of academic library workers. The survey takes approximately 15-30 minutes to complete through an online form.
You can access the survey here. This survey will be open until Friday, April 8, 2022.
Once you complete the survey, you will be asked if you are interested in participating in a focus group to discuss your experiences more in depth. You will also have the opportunity to sign up to be considered for attendance at our Curriculum Planning Forum in May 2022, with all expenses covered. If you are not interested in completing the survey but would like to receive grant updates or be considered for the forum, please express your interest using the LPOL interest form.
For questions or concerns about this study, you may contact Hailley Fargo, at libparlor@gmail.com. You can opt-out of this survey at any time.
