You are invited to participate in a survey of academic librarians on the utilization and efficacy of peer reviews of teaching or peer observations of instruction (hereafter referred to as peer review of teaching). The purpose of this survey is to determine how librarians are using peer review in teaching and if the process relates to librarians’ motivation to adjust teaching practices or pedagogies. This study’s results may contribute to the professional knowledge of the application of peer review of teaching in academic libraries and will be shared in conferences or printed publications.
This survey (Study – IRB20-0155) has been approved by the University of Chicago Institutional Review Board (IRB) and is strictly voluntary. Your response will be kept confidential with minimum risk of revealing your individual identity. It will take approximately 5 minutes to complete the survey.
Please access the survey here. You may request a summary of the survey results by participating in the survey.
If you have any questions about your rights as a research participant, please contact the principal research investigator Emily Treptow, at etreptow@uchicago.edu. Thank you for participating in this survey.
