Call for Posters: Feb. 6 Summit on Libraries Serving Refugees and Asylum Seekers

The Mortenson Center for International Library Programs and the American Library Association invite you to the Project Welcome: Libraries Serving Refugees and Asylum Seekers Summit on Monday, February 17, in Chicago. At the meeting, we will learn from, and with, U.S. and international librarians, international and national governmental agencies, and domestic resettlement and social services. Attendees will discuss the information needs of refugees and asylum seekers, in addition to the library services needed to support and empower them in their resettlement and integration process. The information will be used to identify priorities and gaps, develop recommendations, and formulate an action plan for library services to refugees and asylum seekers.

Call for Posters

Are you delivering innovative and successful library-based programs or services for refugees and asylum seekers? Have you conducted research on the library and information needs of refugees and asylum seekers? You are invited to submit a poster proposal to present and share your best practices or research with attendees at the Project Welcome: Libraries Serving Refugees and Asylum Seekers Summit, on February 6. All poster presenters need to register for the Summit.
