The call for proposals is now open for the New England Library Instruction Group (NELIG) Winter Program: Virtual Instruction Workshop & Swap. The event will take place on Monday, December 7, from 8:00 to 11:00 AM CDT. More information is below.
This year, the NELIG Winter Instruction Workshop & Swap will provide an opportunity for you to either “workshop” a new lesson or activity with your peers or to share a lesson you have already taught. Librarians from outside of New England are encouraged to submit proposals.
Each presenter will teach a lesson or lead an activity they would deliver to a class. Note that you do not need to have taught this lesson in a class; however, the lesson should be complete. Sessions will run for one hour, with time included for constructive criticism and positive feedback.
Presentations cover: 1) Background information 2) Lesson planning 3) Learning outcomes 4) Assessment plans. Attendees will act as students in a class and will also provide feedback to the presenters.
To submit a proposal, complete the form by Tuesday, November 23. Acceptance notifications will be sent on Monday, November 30. E-mail Jenny and Sarah at acrlnelig@gmail.com<mailto:acrlnelig@gmail.com> with questions
