The American Library Association’s Office for Diversity, Literacy and Outreach Services (ODLOS) is currently seeking blog post contributions to appear on our blog site, Intersections. We are interested in hearing about hiring tips and best practices from both the candidate’s perspective and the hiring manager.
Are you interested in writing for Intersections but don’t have a success story related to hiring? ODLOS is accepting proposals for other EDI-related blog topics as well. Submit your summary for consideration below.
Please consider the following guidelines when submitting a blog post.
- articles are typically 350-600 words
- include 2-3 high-quality images
- content must be original (i.e. article is not published elsewhere)
Please submit a summary for consideration by Friday, May 14. First drafts will be due Sunday, May 30.
Interested in continuing the conversation surrounding hiring during a pandemic? ALA’s Spectrum Scholarship Program Advisory Committee is hosting a twitter chat on virtual hiring. This twitter chat will take place on Thursday, May 20, at 12:00 PM CDT. Use #ALASpectrum to be part of the conversation.
Please direct any questions to Amber Hayes, ALA Outreach and Communications Program Officer, at ahayes@ala.org.
