Please join us for the December CopyTalk, “Modern Interlibrary Loan Practices: Moving Beyond the CONTU Guidelines”, which will provide information on the ARL whitepaper, published in August 2020. This whitepaper reexamines the role of the decades-old Commission on New Technological Uses of Copyrighted Works (CONTU) Guidelines in interlibrary lending. Much has changed since the advent of these guidelines – are they still relevant; what is a viable path forward?
Our speakers will be two of the authors of the whitepaper.
- Meg Oakley. Director, Copyright & Scholarly Communication, Georgetown University Library
- Sara Benson, Copyright Librarian, University Library, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
This webinar will be of interest both to those who work with copyright in libraries as well as those who provide interlibrary loan services. Join us on Thursday, December 3, at 1:00 PM CDT. Pre-registration is not required. To access the webinar, please go here. The passcode is 183331.
All CopyTalks are still free and recorded and archived here.
