Google is filing an appeal with the Conseil d’etat, the highest court in France, regarding a ruling on the “right to be forgotten” made by France’s Commission Nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL) in July 2016. The CNIL ruling requires Google to remove applicable links that appear across all Google domain searches internationally, not just EU instances of Google, as had been the law. In case you haven’t gotten enough information about the election results this week, your local ABC station may have results of some of the smaller races and referenda on their website (Chicago area results, Southern Illinois results). The Illinois State Board of Elections has not yet posted the results.
