New this year! Lightning talks! The Health Science Librarians of Illinois (HSLI) 2018 conference will provide opportunities for attendees to not only present in the poster session (see sep. announcement). A designated timeslot on the afternoon of Thursday, September 27, has been set aside for sharing experiences, best practices, or how lemonade was made out of lemons! Each presenter will be allotted 5-10 minutes, depending on how many abstracts are submitted and accepted. There will be ample time left for Q&A and lively discussion.
Lightning talks sessions are guaranteed to spark creative ideas that we can all consider and adapt to our own libraries. Please consider sharing your expertise or story. To apply, please submit an abstract of no more than 200 words as an application to Frances Drone-Silvers (frances.drone-silvers@carle.com) now through August 1, 2018. Notification of acceptance will be sent by August 17 after review by the lightning talk subcommittee. Co-authored presentations are acceptable, though there should be no more than two presenting authors. The presenting author/s must register for and plan on attending the HSLI conference.
The HSLI 2018 Annual Conference will be held September 26-28 at the Cliffbreakers Riverside Hotel and Conference Center in Rockford, Illinois. The Conference theme is “Rivers of Data, Streams of Knowledge”.
