The Paul V. Galvin Library at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois, is pleased to announce a great opportunity for an early-career librarian who would like to work in information literacy, reference, and instruction. This position provides service to faculty, students, and staff at IIT’s Main campus, while demonstrating a commitment to service excellence to users of a multicultural academic and research environment, both on campus and online. This position is responsible for delivery of a broad range of research and instructional services in support of the university’s curriculum and mission. Reporting to the Head of Research and International Library Services, the Research and Instruction Librarian will provide and promote high quality and innovative services to a diverse community of IIT users and beyond.
Sunday shifts are required during the academic year. Other occasional weekend and evening hours may be required. This position requires a master’s degree in library and information science.
