Registration for the Medical Library Association’s 2016 annual meeting officially opens Wednesday, January 6. (The registration form is already available on the MLA website.) This year’s conference, which will take place in Toronto from May 13 to 18, is themed “Mosaic: Be Part of the Big Picture” and will be a joint meeting with the Canadian Health Libraries Association and the International Clinical Librarian Conference. The conference schedule includes continuing-education courses (among them a large number of pre-conference sessions), a general meeting and lunch featuring updates from the Canadian Health Libraries Association, the John P. McGovern Award Lecture, several hundred poster sessions and peer-reviewed papers, and “lightning talks”. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour local libraries. For those who cannot travel to Toronto, there will be an e-conference option.
The following CE sessions might be of particular interest, regardless of one’s library type. They are based around the conference’s theme of “Mosaic”, which focuses on the wide variety of skills and experiences that librarians bring to their roles.
