Make Small Changes, Get Inclusive Results: Bringing Universal Design into Library Instruction
A virtual discussion led by Samantha Cook (Instructional Design Librarian) and Kristina Clement (Student Success Librarian) from University of Wyoming on Thursday, January 17th, 2019 from 1:00pm-2:00pm Central Standard Time.
How can we most effectively reach students with disabilities in information literacy instruction? Librarians often encounter students for just a single class session, which can make it extremely difficult to plan for and accommodate diverse student needs. Join the ACRL Instruction Section’s 2019 Midwinter Virtual Discussion Forum to discuss Universal Design Learning and strategies to accommodate all students. This discussion will include varied perspectives on the experience of students with disabilities in the classroom and strategies for on-the-fly accommodations.
