Registration is now open for the 2020 ILA Legislative Meet-ups!
The ILA Legislative Meet-ups are a chance for the Illinois library community to hear from and meet with state lawmakers and discuss the issues affecting libraries.
In the wake of Macmillan’s decision to limit access to ebooks resulting in the #eBooksForAll campaign, ongoing efforts to save net neutrality, and perennial library funding challenges, it has become more important than ever to support and advocate for libraries.
Library patrons, trustees, directors, and staff from public, school, and academic libraries are strongly encouraged to attend and participate.
The registration fee includes breakfast or lunch, legislative materials, and a program featuring state and federal legislative briefing and library-related priorities and speakers.
