“Cataloging 3D Objects, Kits, and Realia”–Monday, July 11 – Friday, August 5, 2022
The “Cataloging 3D Objects, Kits, and Realia” course consists of four weeks of content, quizzes, and assignments. There are online quizzes, assignments, and links to outside resources (OCLC Bibliographic Formats and Standards, OLAC’s Best Practices for Cataloging Objects Using RDA and MARC 21, MARC 21 for Bibliographic Data, Library of Congress authority file, videos, and documents). During the course, students will originally catalog 3D and 2D objects and kits including games, flyers, a bingo set, a postcard, and other challenging items. Cataloging knowledge and experience are preferred.

“Subject Analysis”–Monday, August 8 – Friday, September 16, 2022
The “Subject Analysis” course consists of six weeks of content and assignments. There are text files, online quizzes, and links to outside resources (OCLC Bibliographic Formats and Standards, Library of Congress authority file, MARC21 for Bibliographic Data, videos, and documents). It is helpful if you already have MARC (MAchine Readable Cataloging) and authority record knowledge.
