Registration is now open for the ACRL Science and Technology Section’s (end of) Summer Panel Program. The webinar “Celebrating and Showing Support for Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander Colleagues in Librarianship and in Our Communities” will take place on Thursday, August 26, from 12:00 to 1:30 PM CDT via Zoom. This event is co-sponsored by the Science and Technology (STS) section of the Association for College and Research Libraries (ACRL), the Asian Pacific American Librarians Association (APALA), and the Chinese American Librarians Association (CALA).
Learn about contributions of Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander librarians and contributions of the Asian Pacific American Librarians Association (APALA) and Chinese American Librarians Association (CALA) to librarianship. The panel will include discussion of how (science) librarians can show their support for AAPI colleagues and community members, from outreach ideas to fighting anti-Asian racism and xenophobia.
