Registration is now open for Illinois Heartland Library System’s new CMC (Cataloging Maintenance Center) Moodle course, “3D Objects, Kits, and Realia”. This four-week online course will last from Monday, May 24, to Sunday, June 20.
The course provides hands-on cataloging of 3D objects, kits, and realia. Cataloging knowledge and experience is suggested. During the course, students will originally catalog 3D and 2D objects and kits including games, flyers, a bingo set, a postcard, and other challenging items.
Please register in L2 here. Registration is open through Monday, May 17, but enrollment is capped at 30 students, so anyone interested should sign up as soon as possible.
Starting in July, IHLS will again offer its other Moodle courses: “Subject Analysis” (July 12 – August 20), “RDA for Books” (September 13 – October 21), and “RDA for Audio and Video Recordings” (November 8 – December 17). Watch for an upcoming announcement on registration for these events.
