Registration is still open for the Library Juice Academy course “Online Instructional Delivery”. It will take place from Monday, December 6, to Sunday, January 2. The instructor is Mimi O’Malley, learning technology translation strategist at Spalding University. A description of the course follows.
Most online courses begin as an alternative delivery format to the face-to-face course. Teaching an online course differs from teaching in a physical classroom, however. This four-week course walks participants through the instructional delivery and facilitation of an online course. The course pays attention to instructor social presence and feedback. This course delves into online instructor strategies for pacing online students on task and remedying student misbehavior in the online classroom. A companion course for participants who have taken the “Online Instructional Design” course.
To register for this course, please go here. The cost is $200.00. This course is worth 1.5 CEUs or 15 PDHs.
