If you haven’t already, it’s time to get in your proposals for a lightning talk at the Illinois Association of College & Research Libraries’s next Spark event, “One Weird Trick!”. It will take place on Friday, May 19. Proposals are due here by Friday, February 24.
What’s your secret for making the workday easier? What tool have you found that makes a routine task more fun or interesting? What’s your “One Weird Trick” to being more organized in life? Come share your software, hotkeys, processes, or other hack(s), big or small, to help your colleagues learn a fun, new skill that might improve their lives, too. Examples might include (but are certainly not limited to) the following.
- Using Embed Responsively for embedding videos in webpages and LibGuides
- Favorite sites for free stock photos
- Getting an ORCID id
- Mentimeter for audience response
We are looking for 30-minute presentations and 15-minute lightning presentations.
