Join us at the STEM Librarians South Annual Conference! We are accepting proposals for this virtual and in-person event. Proposals should be related to science, technology, engineering, or math librarianship. We welcome submissions from librarians and information professionals. Product pitches will not be considered; however, informational sessions about effectively using products or services related to STEM librarianship are welcome.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 25. Notification of acceptance will occur in early May.
The virtual portion of the Conference will be held Tuesday, July 15, and the in-person sessions will take place on Thursday and Friday, July 17 and 18, at the University of Texas at Arlington. The UTA campus is about 30 minutes from DFW International Airport and about 40 minutes from Dallas Love Field Airport. There is no official Conference hotel, but many lodging options are available near campus.
We are hard at work seeking sponsorships to reduce registration costs. For budget-planning purposes, registration for attending only the Tuesday virtual session will be no more than $15 per person. Registration to attend both the virtual and in-person sessions will be no more than $65 per person. Presenters who have a proposal accepted must also register for the Conference as an attendee.
A tentative schedule of events can be found here.
