Please join us for the next ACRL STS (Science & Technology Section) College Science Librarians Virtual Discussion on Thursday, November 17, starting at 1:00 PM CDT. Hear what is happening with colleagues from far and wide, and share strategies that have worked for you in the ever-changing STEM librarianship space. This event will not be recorded.
Our theme for November is “Creating Balance and Managing Expectations: Data, Instruction, & Outreach”! Please join us to discuss all kinds of topics, including the following.
- Data management (e.g. policy & compliance, especially in light of the new OSTP memo)
- Data literacy (finding & (re)using data, data visualization, etc.)
- Instruction (balancing theory & practice; the recent C&RL issue on one-shots)
- Outreach (e.g. communicating re: aspects of library services that faculty may not realize we offer)
- New/early career science librarians (or those new to science liaisonship roles)–an ever-popular room!
Register for the Virtual Discussion here.
