Don’t forget to register in L2 for next month’s Online with the CMC (Cataloging Maintenance Center): Subject Analysis, https://www.librarylearning.info/events/?eventID=28613
This month’s topic: Subject Analysis. Subject analysis can be complicated. Subject headings or topics that match the item being cataloged need to be determined. The 20% rule, which recommends assigning headings only for topics that comprise at least 20% of the work, is still applicable.
Even if you can’t attend the live session on October 17, from 10-11 a.m. CDST, go ahead and register anyway, so that I can e-mail the link to the recording, after the webinar is over.
