Please mark your calendars for ForwardFocus 2018. This year’s Conference will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018. Please join us for discussion and professional enrichment as we explore The Changing Information Landscape: Libraries in the “Post-Truth” and Open Access Era.
Librarians have a unique opportunity to engage students as their understanding of information is influenced by the current “post-truth” climate. This opportunity, coupled with the changing landscape of information, including calls for open access, availability of emerging formats, and widespread changes to the publishing industry, both challenge and inspire librarians in new ways. The 2018 Conference seeks to highlight community college libraries as they adapt and thrive in the midst of the current information landscape.
If you are interested in presenting, please complete a call for proposal form<http://www.forwardfocusconference.com/call-for-proposals/> by Thursday, May 31. Please note that the deadline has been extended. For more information, please visit our website<http://www.forwardfocusconference.com/call-for-proposals/> or contact Jessica Bastian, at jessica.bastian@icc.edu. We hope to see you in October!
