Summit on Changing Academic Libraries to be Held April 12 at Illinois State University

Posted on February 27, 2016 by Eric Edwards

Academic libraries exist in a world of rapidly changing technologies, expectations, campus needs, and budgets. You and I–our library community-are faced with the important job of planning and implementing changes that matter to our colleges and universities.

  • Join your colleagues for a day-long summit to address some of the following questions:
  • How are academic libraries changing?
  • What are the driving forces of change?
  • What will your library need to do to position itself for the future?
  • What is the process by which your library will, or could, make those changes?
  • How can each of us be the leaders that our libraries need?

Illinois State University’s Summit on Changing Academic Libraries will feature keynote speaker Joan Lippincott, associate executive director for the Coalition for Networked Information who will talk about libraries and librarians as partnerships in teaching, learning and research
