We invite you to participate in a survey on hospital library benchmarking. The link is here. The survey will remain open until 3:00 PM CST on Friday, September 8. More information, including background on the impetus for the survey, is below.
The last benchmarking survey was conducted in 2006. Since then, hospital libraries and librarians have faced significant changes including downsizing, position and/or library elimination, and mergers of hospitals into systems. In an effort to develop and implement effective advocacy for hospital libraries and plan for future services, current benchmarking data is needed.
We ask only one response per library. The survey consists of 58 questions and will take approximately 20 minutes. For your convenience we recommend you gather the pertinent information (e.g.-usage statistics, budget, bed counts, staffing) prior to beginning the survey.
Thank you in advance for participating in the survey. Your response will help shape the future of hospital libraries.
