ACRL invites you to share your research and creative endeavors with your colleagues at ACRL 2019. Today’s academic and research libraries are vibrant and fast moving, responding quickly to changes in the higher education landscape. Just as our host city of Cleveland has undergone a revitalization in recent years, librarians must continually reinvent themselves to stay on the cutting edge. Join your colleagues in Recasting the Narrative of what it means to be a librarian in the 21st century, adapting and leading the transition to new roles.
ACRL 2019 offers a variety of options for participation and features eight session formats to suit a wide range of presentation and learning styles. From first-time presenters to seasoned experts, there is surely a format best suited to your ideas. We challenge you to inspire your colleagues and others in the higher education community with proposals that explore the most dynamic issues and ideas facing academic and research librarians today.
Consult the conference tags to stimulate your thinking and position your proposal within the Conference theme. The tags will serve to create our own Conference map and guide attendees to themes of interest and inspiration.
The 2019 ACRL Conference will take place from April 10 to 13. The deadline to submit proposals for contributed papers, panels, preconferences, and workshops is May 4, 2018. The deadline for submitting proposals for posters, roundtables, TechConnect, and webcasts is October 12, 2018. Early-bird registration will begin in May of 2018.
