(via Anna Ferri, Roseman University of Health Sciences)
Do you have a great (positive) story about turning a misunderstanding, mistake, or disagreement with a faculty member into a positive experience? Please come share your story at the Health Science Interest Group’s inaugural First Friday Forum on Friday, December 3, at 11:00 AM CDT. No registration is required–please see the Zoom information at the bottom of this e-mail.
We will start with a guest speaker, Dr. Lauren Hays. Dr. Hays has been an academic instruction librarian and is now a lecturing faculty member at University of Central Missouri. She will be teaching a Library Juice course in January called “Faculty and Librarian Collaborations”. After Dr. Hays gets us warmed up, it will be time to chat and commiserate on what really works with faculty and what really doesn’t. Share with other health science and liaison librarians and leave with new ideas on how to connect with faculty and build collaborations.
If you have a facul-tastrophe you would like to share, please contact Karen O’Grady (kogrady@sandiego.edu) so we have some interesting tales lined up. Shy about sharing on Zoom? E-mail your story to Karen and it will be read (anonymously as requested) during our First Friday Forum.
