Join the ACRL Health Sciences Interest Group for our June First Friday Forum, on “NIH Data Management & Sharing”. It will take place on Friday, June 2, starting at 11:00 AM CDT.
Have you attended some informational sessions on the new NIH Data Management & Sharing Policy? Are you confused or intimidated by what it means for you and your faculty? Would you like to discuss or ask questions in a comfortable environment? Let’s talk about it!
Mara Sedlins, the Data Management Specialist from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, will discuss the NIH Policy, provide some resources, and lead us in a rousing First Friday Forum discussion.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Policy for Data Management and Sharing went into effect on January 25, 2023, requiring the submission of Data Management and Sharing Plans (DMSP) at the time of proposal for all new submissions. New requirements can create unease and require steps to prepare for implementation and compliance, including provisions for intellectual property and secure data. Let’s talk about how it’s going, how our services are involved or impacted, and share resources and ideas!
Everyone is welcome – no registration and no membership required. Feel free to share the invite. Zoom information below. Passcode: HSIGFFF
Please join us!
We are always taking suggestions for First Friday Forums topics or guest speakers.
