Do you want to share your professional library instruction experience? Lead and build a relationship with a new colleague? Did you answer “yes” to one or both of these questions? If so, then please consider becoming a mentor for the ACRL Instruction Section Mentoring Program.
The purpose of the ACRL IS Mentoring Program is to contribute to the professional development of academic librarians who teach information literacy through the creation of mentor/mentee pairs within the Instruction Section. Conference attendance is not required, and much of the mentoring takes place through online communication. Visit our webpagefor more information on the Mentoring Program. In order to create mentor/mentee pairs by the beginning of the Fall Semester, we ask that you please fill out our online applicationby Friday, September 15. (Membership in ACRL and the Instruction Section is required for applying.)
Please consider joining this wonderful forum for discussion, networking, and the exchange of ideas about instruction and information literacy. If you have questions about the ACRL IS Mentoring Program, please contact the Committee Chair, Krystal Wyatt-Baxter, at (krystal@austin.utexas.edu).
