Please join us Monday, February 5th, 1:00-2:00 PM CDT for the monthly discussion hosted by the ACRL STS Information Literacy committee. This month Nashieli Marcano, STEM Research Librarian from Clemson University will lead our discussion : “Integrating the ACRL Framework in STEM Graduate Courses.”
Discussion Description:
As academic libraries face new challenges of staying relevant to the graduate research process, we must find ways to enter diverse academic communities, start engaging in scholarly conversations, and facilitate the expansion of their information literacy skills. This session serves three purposes: to examine strategies for librarians to reach out to STEM faculty and graduate students and spark conversations about the Framework, to share ideas for developing a collaborative instructional design that integrates the Framework into STEM graduate-level courses, and to discuss quantitative and qualitative methods for assessing this implementation.
