I am looking to interview instruction librarians working in particular roles in college and university libraries for a book I am co-writing about library instruction for first-year college students:
- someone with the title of “First-Year Experience Librarian” (or something similar) who does library instruction for first-year students
- a solo instruction librarian who works with first-year students
- an instruction librarian who is part of a team of instruction librarians (either a generalist or a subject librarian is fine) who teaches first-year students in some capacity
- an information literacy coordinator who coordinates sessions that include first-year library instruction
Additionally, I am hoping to speak with librarians about first-year library instruction in different institutional settings:
- a two-year college
- a small liberal arts college
- a 4-year mid-sized public university
- a private R1 university
If you are interested in being interviewed for this project, please contact me, at mhmurph2@uncg.edu, and I can provide further details. Please also feel free to forward this e-mail to anyone you think might be interested!
