The ACRL Health Sciences Interest Group is calling for First Friday Forum presenters for fall, 2024. Are you knowledgeable and passionate about a subject relevant to health sciences or medical librarianship? We’d love to have you!
Available dates and times (all times Central):
- Friday, October 4, 12:00-1:30 PM
- Friday, November 1, 12:00-1:30 PM
- Friday, December 6, 12:00-1:30 PM
Requirements: The topic must be relevant and specific to health sciences or medical librarianship. For instance, “Instruction for Undergraduate Nursing Students” or “Participating in Community Health Fairs” would be within the realm of acceptable topics; simply “Instruction for Undergraduates” or “Community Outreach” are not.
Forums are ninety minutes in length. Be prepared to present for the first hour (recorded) and host a discussion for the last thirty minutes (unrecorded). You may present alone or with co-presenters. Session formats can be a presentation with slides, a panel discussion, or lightning rounds. For lightning rounds and panel discussions, your proposal must include all presenters-we will not find or match you with other presenters. If you would like to suggest another format, please e-mail jules.bailey@fsu.edu.
Preference will be given to ACRL HSIG members.
Submit your proposal here. The deadline is Friday, September 6, at 4:00 PM CDT. We will inform you by Friday, September 13.
