The Medical Library Association (MLA) is pleased to announce the availability of three prestigious scholarships for aspiring health sciences librarians. Applications are due by Friday, January 31, 2025. These scholarships provide an excellent opportunity to advance your career in health sciences librarianship.
- Gwendolyn S. Cruzat MLA Scholarship: This scholarship awards up to $5,000 in honor of Dr. Gwendolyn Cruzat, a distinguished leader in the library profession. It is open to students entering or currently enrolled in an ALA-accredited graduate library school. Learn more and apply here.
- Beverly Murphy MLA Scholarship for Underrepresented Students: Offering up to $5,000, this scholarship supports students from underrepresented groups. Named after Beverly Murphy, the first Black President of MLA, it aims to promote diversity within the field of health sciences librarianship. Learn more and apply here.
- Ana D. Cleveland MLA Scholarship: This scholarship provides up to $1,000 and honors Dr. Ana Cleveland, a pioneer in integrating informatics into health information education. It is intended for students dedicated to advancing in health sciences librarianship. Learn more and apply here.
