NNLM Region 6 is pleased to announce a new funding opportunity, the Illinois SAG Outreach Award.
Each state in Region 6 has a State Advisory Group (SAG). The SAG charge is two-fold:
- To guide the development and implementation of an action plan for each state in Region 6 that addresses how NNLM can support specific health disparities identified as priorities for that state, with a focus on medically underserved populations.
- To develop strategic recommendations, programs, and relationships that advance the health of communities through equal access to biomedical and health information resources and data.
SAG Illinois members discussed health information needs in the State of Illinois and then used the Community Tool Box to develop a plan of action to help guide outreach and engagement activities conducted by Region 6 staff, the Partner Outreach Program (POP), and Network members in Illinois.
The Illinois SAG Outreach Award is now open for applications. Funding is up to $10,000. The Period of Performance is 01 August 2023 through 30 April 2024. The application deadline is Monday, May 15.
Please note: This is a special Illinois SAG award only for projects focused in the State of Illinois and proposed by an NNLM Member organization based in the State of Illinois. For membership information follow: Become a Member Organization or the Membership Directory.
