Are you interested in offering data services in your library? Apply to be a part of the Data Services Continuing Professional Education (DSCPE) program Fall 2024 cohort, beginning on Friday, September 6!
The Research Data Management Librarian Academy (RDMLA) has partnered with the Countway Library of Medicine and Simmons University School of Library and Information Science to offer early- and mid-career librarians this new professional development opportunity, the DSCPE. The DSCPE is focused on training and developing a community of data services librarians who wish to be retooled with hands-on experience in research data services to support their research community. This 10-week online intensive learning experience includes synchronous virtual live sessions, remote self-paced learning, guest speakers, and capstone site project mentorships. The Fall cohort will run from Friday, September 6, to Friday, November 22.
Applications are now open, and the deadline to apply is Monday, June 24. The tuition for the Fall 2024 cohort is fully covered through a gift from Elsevier. We are pleased to announce that Canadian librarians are now invited to apply. Please note that at this time, the DSCPE program is only able to accommodate U.S. and Canadian-based librarians.
For a complete description of the DSCPE, a list of application materials and requirements, and a link to the online application form, please visit our website. Or submit your application directly here.
