The organizers of the 52nd Annual LOEX Conference seek proposals for breakout sessions. Themed “Growing and Adapting Your Information Literacy Practice”, the Conference will take place in Naperville, IL, from Thursday, May 2, to Saturday, May 4, 2024. Grow your information literacy pedagogy at LOEX 2024 in Naperville, Illinois! Located outside of Chicago, Naperville is home to a vast system of forest preserves–the perfect place to celebrate our unique but interconnected information literacy knowledge and practices. We want to hear how you’re planting the seeds of information literacy and empowering your students to thrive. Showcase how your instructional practices are flourishing and where you’ve seen new growth or are branching out.
This year’s LOEX proposal tracks are:
– Planting Seeds: Pedagogy and Instructional Design
– Putting Down Roots: Collaboration and Outreach
– Seeing the Forest: Assessment and Evaluation
– Controlled Burns: Revitalize and Renew
– Climate Change: Adapting to New Technologies
– Field Notes: Using Research to Inform Practice
Proposals for 50-minute long presentations and interactive workshops can be submitted only through the online submission form and must be received by Monday, November 27, 2023.
