We are excited to announce an open call for chapter proposals for the upcoming book A Manager’s Guide to Creating a Flourishing Workplace: Strategies for Fostering Wellness in Libraries. We invite you to share your expertise and insights by submitting a chapter proposal that explores innovative approaches to promoting workplace wellness in library management. This book aims to provide library managers with practical strategies and actionable recommendations to cultivate a flourishing workplace that prioritizes employee wellness.
We welcome proposals from diverse backgrounds and experiences, including first-time authors, authors historically underrepresented in librarianship, and those with experience in all types of libraries. Whether you have expertise in mental health, work-life balance, inclusive leadership, or organizational culture, we encourage you to contribute to this vital conversation.
Your chapter proposal should focus on practical approaches and evidence-based strategies for creating a healthy work environment in libraries. Topics of interest include but are not limited to creating a supportive work culture, addressing workplace challenges, promoting diversity and inclusion, and implementing effective wellness programs. Chapters should not include weight, weight loss, and physical movement programs.
Don’t miss this chance to make a lasting impact on the well-being of library staff and the future of library management. Submit your chapter proposal by Saturday, July 1, 2023, and join us in creating a comprehensive guide for library managers striving to foster wellness in their organizations.
