The ACRL Science & Technology Section Government Information Committee is now accepting proposals for lightning presentations at our 2025 annual virtual mini-conference on “Bringing Together AI, STEM, and Government Information”. The event will take place on Tuesday, June 24, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM CDT.
Our goal is to foster a national dialogue among academia, government, and libraries on AI’s impact on teaching, research, and library services, especially relating to STEM areas. Topics include ethical considerations, library operational challenges, the needs of college and research library users, and the evolving role of libraries in collaborating with faculty and government to support teaching and research in the AI era.
To learn more and submit your proposal, go here. The deadline is Monday, March 31. Applicants should expect an update on the status of their proposals by Friday, April 11.
For more information, questions, or concerns, please contact Anna Xiong, Rice University Fondren Library Government Information Coordinator, at jax2@rice.edu.
We look forward to your proposals!
