The Association of College and Research Libraries – Science & Technology Section – Awards Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2019 Oberly Award for Bibliography in the Agricultural and Natural Sciences for the best English-language bibliography in the field of agriculture or a related science.
Eligible works include English-language print or electronic bibliographies in any format in the field of agriculture or a related science published during 2017-2018. Bibliographies may be a monograph, a completed series viewed as a body of work, or an ongoing publication. Submissions will be judged on accuracy, scope, usefulness, format, and special features such as explanatory introductions, annotations, and indexes.
Recipients of the Oberly Award will receive a cash award and a plaque, funded by an endowment created by individuals and vendor contributions.
Nominations for the 2019 award will be accepted until December 7, 2018. Submissions should be made in the form of a letter pointing out the reason the bibliography should be considered. A copy of the bibliography should accompany the submission.
