Do you know a Medical Library Association member with a distinguished career and outstanding contributions advancing the profession? Please consider nominating that individual for the Marcia C. Noyes Award, the association’s highest professional distinction. The award, established in memory of Marcia C. Noyes, one of eight MLA charter members, recognizes a career that has resulted in lasting, outstanding contributions to medical librarianship. Additionally, the award considers sustained and notable achievement in at least one area of activity cited in the mission of the MLA and distinguished service and leadership in health sciences librarianship.
The awardee receives an engraved sterling silver bowl at the MLA annual meeting. The full list of criteria and information about the nomination process is available on the Marcia C. Noyes award web page:https://www.mlanet.org/p/cm/ld/fid=268. The nomination form, including up to three letters of support, is due by November 1, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. (CDT).
