The call for papers for the Journal of Open Educational Resources in Higher Education (JOERHE) is now open. JOERHE welcomes original quantitative and qualitative research articles and innovative practice articles concerning Open Pedagogy, Open Data, and analyses of current topics in Open Educational Resources within the context of Higher Education in the United States and Canada. Authors are encouraged to discuss the practical applications of their knowledge and findings, propose best practices, discuss theoretical models and frameworks, and describe their programmatic and practical experiences. All submitted articles will participate in an open peer-review process, and peer-review evaluations will be published alongside their corresponding published articles.
This year, we are particularly interested in research articles in the following topic areas (this list is not exhaustive):
- Grant Outcomes (for example, results from the Open Textbook Pilot, Institute of Museum and Librarian Studies (IMLS), Hewlett Foundation, National Institutes of Health (NIH), etc.)
- Artificial Intelligence and OER / Open Pedagogy
- Neuroinclusion and OER / Open Pedagogy
- Critiques of Open Education as a Profession / Movement
- Bibliometric Studies and Meta-analyses relating to OER and Open Pedagogy
- Utilization of OER in courses that don’t typically require texts (for example, art, dance, etc.)
- Open Pedagogy / Student Participation / Student Voices
- Impact of Federal Open Access Mandates on OER at Higher Education Institutions
